TyTy!

Why is this boy getting so big? Why is he one of the sweetest and kindest 12 year old that I know!? It is a combo of so many things, but if Drew grows up to be a fantastic 12 year old like Tyler then Derek and I will be very happy!

I had been clearing out my computer and I found this email about Ty and Semper Fi Camp.

"I really liked this camp because I learned a lot of things that could help me in the future. I had a bunch of fun in all the activities that we did – my personal favorite was the climbing because I really like getting up to those heights and trying new things."

So excited for Kaitlyn!

I can always say that Princess', Snow White, Rapunzel, a Tinkerbell friend, and soon to be the newest Princess, Merida watched my babies before she stood on red carpets, gave joy to thousands to children, or learned a Scottish accent! We are so happy for Kait and knowing that someday she will be off to Paris (she made it to the third round this last time) makes us both sad and happy for her and her family.

MC Book Exchange

I will be writing this a lot in the many posts to come (ex. Big Connor's commercial link I have known about for a long time!), "I have just not had anytime to sit and enjoy the computer." So, if you keep seeing posts from Dec and Jan that is why...I am a mommy of three.

We love the MC and even though this was a small turn out for one of our parties, it was still nice. Yummy cupcakes from the G's. Some baybleds being buried in the sand, kids running a little too far away for the mommies pleasure and refusing to wear their jackets, two mommies VERY pregnant, those children not running away made bookmarks with Ms Barbara. It was a nice time and now it is time for the V-day party! Time flies!

Patty's First Shower

Patty had her first baby shower!

I am so happy that she had one up where she lives! I think she glows and I told her that today when I looked at the pictures! Patty does not like to be the center of attention AT ALL and I told her too bad because there are really only a few times when you are. When you are getting married and when you are having a baby. I should mention to her that when William is here she will not have to worry about being the center of attention ever again!

From what she told me she got a lot of stuff and I need to ask her if she i going with the Dr. Sues theme for his room...so super cute. I am tickled for Will to come and meet all of us...oh yeah and for Pat to have a bundle of joy!

Now I just can not wait for our "Little Man" party next month! I think it is trendy now, but who cares it is going to be so cute! I can blame the trend on Em since she is the one who picked it!! haha Invites are in the mail!

I am sad:(

I love the Muppet's and in fact when I took Connor, Lilly, and Drew to see it in the theater I actually cried a little! I like FOX News and of course they are just puppets and I laughed until Ms Piggy spoke...then I just felt sad:(

Thanks for ruining the Muppet's for me Linda!

Connor's Commerical

I do not know if I ever posted this...I am not searching either:)

Big Connor Weil shot this commercial for Underarmor. Him and his gal Daniella are so busy! I can not wait until his Proactive commercial!

Us Lee Girls..

I received an email last week asking if I wanted to do the Irvine Lake Mud Run with my in-laws. No, was my first response because I have a luncheon that day. By with a little pressure from Michelle because I would be the only daughter-in-law not participating...I changed my mind.

Now I am going to fun, hang out in mud, and pray that the beet garden will still be open when we are done! So wish me luck in my prep for it because lord knows I am not good with mud or working out!

Find a mud run by you and join in the fun!!

On a side not I am planning on doing 3 run/walks by May, should be fun!

Wear Red!

National Wear Red Day...

Friday, February 3, 2012, is National Wear Red Day—a day when Americans nationwide will take women's health to heart by wearing red to show their support for women's heart disease awareness. Join The Heart Truth on National Wear Red Day to urge women to protect their hearts. Heart disease is the #1 killer of women.
Everyone can participate in the national movement by wearing their favorite red dress, shirt, tie, or Red Dress Pin on Friday, February 3, 2012. The Heart Truth launched the Red Dress as the national symbol for women and heart disease awareness in 2002 to deliver an urgent wakeup call to American women. For more information on how to get involved, visit the National Wear Red Day toolkit which provides useful information and resources that you can use to help celebrate National Wear Red Day in your community.

I will be doing this, not the dress, but I have plenty of red!

My mom loves expired food!

My mom has never lived Easter in 2008 when she gave her family expired sour cream...it was 4 months expired. We always joke about it (maybe the boys more than the gals), so when I read this email I was not surprised. The email also sparked Patty to mention she had 5 yr old molasses and Em had vegetable dip packet. I on the other hand have nothing expired...so hahaha I keep up with my cupboards.

...................................... Email from mom

All of us So Cal people were going to meet up at BJ's Pizza to celebrate the December/January birthdays this past Sunday and I volunteered to bring cupcakes. Well let's put it this way, the cupcakes didn't make it.

I found a simple recipe on the internet for Red Velvet cupcakes and decided to make those. Now it's Sunday morning and I'm stressed because I still have to make these little cakes of joy and the hour is getting late. I whipped them up and felt confident that they would be the hit of the party. They looked so perfect baking in the oven with their little tops growing at a slow pace and browning perfectly. Once satisfied that all was going well I walked away to finish getting ready for the party. When I came back a few minutes later and opened the oven door I was amazed to see that they looked like someone stuck a pin in a balloon. They were as flat as a pancake!! I threw them in the refrigerator and headed out the door to join the party.

Today I spoke to a lady at work that loves to bake and explained what had happened. She said it sounded like either the baking soda or powder was no longer active. I came home tonight and this is what I found:

Baking Powder - expired 2/06

Baking Soda - expired 3/08

Love to all.

YMCA & Frosty

We are starting to really love the Y. Granted Lilly still cries whenever we turn onto the street, she is not a huge fan of going to the KIDS Zone, but our family is enjoying all of the benefits of being a member. So, when the Y was organizing it's first ever (for that location) Holiday Show, I signed the kids right up.
They separated the children by age and gave each age group a song to do. Lilly and Em were suppose to each do a song with their groups, but I have no idea what happened with the toddlers and I took Em out because Derek did not want her to get confused during her Nutcracker performance which was later on that day...good job daddy, you were right on this one:) Drew, however, did perform as Frosty with his group. He was the only boy for his age and I thought he would not like it at all, but he LOVED it and LOVED all of the songs. He sang them all of the time! I think he was so into it because he was learning pretty much all of the same songs for his Polar Express Day at school and I had the music on in the house and in the car all of the time!

Being the first time the Y did this there was bound to be some hiccups, and there were many. It was still fun, the kids loved all of the crafts, they got to eat breakfast in the gym, we donated toys for the needy, Drew got to see/sing with his friends, and OF COURSE SANTA! The kids even danced with him. Seeing their little faces and how excited they were made me forget the hiccups.

Snow On Main Street

I did not get to all of the things I wanted to do in December, but I tried! Dang me being sick! But I did get the kids over to the Main Street in YL the day after the Tamale Fest in Downtown....Derek was working though, so he could not attend. The Buchan's, myself and the kids had a great time!

There was snow, balloon artists, hot chocolate and coffee, food, a skateboard competition, a statue of Santa, a reptile petting zoo, the YMCA was there and of course I have to mention the snow again. I know, I know my back east family...but we have been wearing tanks for a week out here, so a little snow is always fun.

The funny thing about the snow, besides me HATING IT WITH A PASSION, is that they had older police men telling people to not throw snow balls and regulating like crazy! It was really funny.

Oh, I have to mention the best part of the night! Ya, ya, being with the kids is great, but Kelly volunteered to walk with the kids down to the Y section of the street so Amanda and I could sneak into the Main Street Winery for a quick glass. OMG, my friend that has no kids took my three buggies by himself to eat, bounce in the jumper, and decorate cookies! He did such a great job! What a brave man he is!

Letters to Santa.....

Found this on Pinterest!

Hello, love love love love love it!

I have been invited so many times to pinterest and ya know what I know why I never follow up on it!!! I can spend forever on that dang site. The only reason why I looked at it was because I started planning Patty's baby shower today (my first in a few years) and she told me to look at the site. Now all I want to do it look, look, look. I am really going to try not to look though because we have dinner plans in an hour!

Tamale Fest

At the beginning of Dec was the Tamale Fest in Old Town. I wanted to go last year, but could not make it over to that section of town, but this year we did! Or I should say Drew, Lilly and I made it. Derek was working and Em was at ballet. Even though we only had three of us out of our clan, we made the short trip over there, stayed for about an hour & half, picked up Em then headed home. No tamale's though...I did not have my card and only a few dollars of cash on me. Maybe next year I can actually have a tamale! haha

In the short amount of time we were there we listened to one of the local high schools Jazz band, we walked up and down the short street, stood in line to get some tamales only to not get some, Drew got his hand painted by a teenager...it came out as a spider, Drew tired to win a gold fish, and I think we found another vendor for my KIDS Fair out of Mustache Mikes food trucks...this one had Italian Ice.

Well, maybe next year we can have tamales, have Derek and Em there and maybe get a picture with me in it that actually comes out.
