Michelle is 40!!

Michelle, Derek's sister, turned the big 40!!!  To celebrate Michelle wanted all of her siblings to head down south to the Stone Brewing Company.  http://www.stonebrewing.com/home.asp?cmbmonth=4&cmbyear=1980&x=72&y=17.  And they all did!!  They even let their significant others tag along too.  Above is a picture of Michelle and her boyfriend, James.

**not the best picture, but I am happy I had an actual camera in my purse!**

I was very excited to leave my kids with my mom & Brian for the weekend and get out of dodge for a bit!  The brewery is AWESOME!  If you love a fun atmosphere and good drink go THERE!  Suzie and Dale had been there before, but I am pretty sure it was the first time for the rest of us.  Well, after about 7 hours there..we knew the place pretty well!! The place is huge.  It has ponds and trails, lots of rocks, candles, flowers, plants, food and well......BEER!  If you do not like beer have no fear they have wine and champagne.  By the time a friend of the family showed b up, Dickey, the party was in full swing.

Then people got silly.  Posing really out of it, but really we were not this bad.

After a great night we all headed back to our hotel rooms.  Well, Dwayne/Elisa, Derek/myself kept the party going in their room for a bit.  Needless to say, I woke up needing a 'little hair of the dog!'  So back to the brewery we went!  We met up with Dwayne and Elisa for some brunch.  Then we headed up north to San Clmente for my side of the family *family day.

Malibu Anyone?

March Family Day for the Lee side was in MALIBU!  There we celebrated Skylar's birthday.  Picture below was not taken in Malibu:)  I love stealing Aunt Cindy's FB pics!

Below is Malibu.  I have never been there and decided that even though I would have to drive there alone (surprise, surprise)  and only be there for 1.5hrs it would be worth it since we had not seen the Weil's since before Christmas.  However, as with most of my life, it did not go quite as smoothly as I thought it would have.  Lets put it this way, I was the only Lee to be there.  Everyone on Derek's side was busy or out of town.  I guess you could say that me and my three kids 'represented' the Lee family.  That is how I am trying to justify me driving for 5 hours that day (three of which was the drive back...one more reason I HATE LA), Drew being late to his game, me forgetting half of my stuff, getting lost and me having a panic attack in front of my mom at the baseball field.  Yes, my life is not soooo smooth.

The kids did play, get to see their cousin and great aunt/uncle and we ate hot dogs with cheese and bacon.  Well, I did not eat it, but Sky wanted that for his birthday.  It was very windy at Leo Carrillo State Beach, but the kids did not notice.  They just ran and ran, they climbed rocks, Drew went to see the stairway with Sky, Aunt Cindy had a bunch of food and yummies, the older one's surfed, and Uncle Alan covered up the dead baby seal that was next to us!  There was a bummer though, we missed Daniella and Connor:(  The kids really wanted to see them both.  Oh well, there is next month!

Beach Ditch Day

Yes, my kids ditched school!  Of course, I did not tell them that.  Momma needed a break.  Now that I think about 'a break' doesn't that usually mean 'a break away from your kids?"  Well, I guess I was feeling in the mood to hang out with them or something:)

After a busy weekend I decided to call Amanda, who just moved down to Dana Point, to see if she wanted to hang out at the beach.  She did!  So I packed up the kids, some toys & blankets and headed to the beach!  We grabbed Amanda, saw her and Kelly's new fabulous house, grabbed lunch and went to the beach for a picnic.

I did not plan it too well, because if I had then I probably should have checked the weather and put my kids in bathing suits.  Oh well, they had fun and it was nice to see Amanda!

Big Boy Turns 7!!

If I do not finish this post right now...I never will!!!  So above is the birthday boy!  7,7,7,7,7,7,7...yes, 7!  We can not believe it!  He had a great weekend for his birthday!  First, he had opening day for baseball.  I think this team has been a challenege for him (being months later) but he is having fun...well, I hope!

.......................................................................................................
Second.....Connor, Caden, Cam,  & Luke...all spent the night.  Golden Yogurt, Camelot, pizza, singing out loud in the car while Derek and I laugh, video games, bike riding,  GOODNESS!

..................................................................................................
Then baseball practice!  I felt just horrible that Drew had to go to pracitice on his birthday, but he did!  I am determined to make them commit, since I never did.  Two plus', I made alien cupcakes and we saw Auntie Mar and baby Sam at practice!

..................................................................................................
Then later that day...Family day!  Okay, I know it as familiy day, but Drew knows it as the day he got his, "3DSXL3D."  I have no idea if that is even the name of the handheld system.  I refuse!  Drew got it and I go into the store and hand the system to the worker and they direct me to the section I need to go.  I kid you not, I do it!!  Grandma, Chow, Uncle Damon all got it for him.  Unlce Wayne and Auntie Elise got him a game and we got him one later.  At his age it is all about 'games, games, games!'

Yes, Drew turned the big 7!  Saige Ann turned 18!!!  What the heck!  This little bug who I use to braid hair for and make fun of... and every year I would say she is just getting too old....is 18!!!!!!!!!!!!!  If I was a better blogger I would have a picture of the first time I met her, which I do have in 'reg' film. Chow and Saigey are people I never thought I would have met and I am very thankful that no matter how my life may make me think I really do love them and the Lee's..... more than they know.  Oh and her present was a wad of cash that we threw at her....love it!!!

Cinderella!

A few weeks back the girls and I went to a little girl's birthday party, Kaitlyn, at the dance studio.  The theme was Princess Cinderella.  It was very cute and Shannon did everything herself.  There was a ton of kid friendly food, and yummy desserts.

And Cinderella even CAME!  Ms. Brenda made Kaityln's princess dress and Cinderella's tutu!  The girls had so much fun singing songs, playing games, listening to Cindy sing, and taking pictures with her.  It was very much fun and the girls had a blast!

Grandpa's Visit!

My dad came to visit!  I am not sure the last time we saw my dad, but I am thinking it was a long time ago.  That is sad, but with him in MA and my sisters in NC, this will be happening more.  Anyways, he came on Superbowl (first time in forever we did not have a party) and left on Wed.  The kids loved to sit with him, we went to one of the girls dance classes (I do not think he is into, but he is sweet), and stayed with the them at the park while at Drew's practice one night while I was at a meeting.  I left him with just a few blankets but he braved the 50degree weather.  I thought he would be freezing, but I was wrong because he is really use to it, living in Ma.  My girls did not even notice.  Funny girls!  Other than that we did not really do anything.  My dad works at night and works a ton, so him sitting on the couch and hanging out with 3 of the 6 grand-kids was perfect for him!  I just did my normal thing and catering to him.  Derek even watched a movie with him, Coolhand Luke, and Derek liked that because it reminded him of his time with his own dad.  That was touching.  I know my dad enjoyed himself:)

But the best part of it all was......
Grandpa taught Em how to tie her shoes!  Just like he taught me, oh so long ago!  She was so excited and only wants to wear "tie" shoe/clothes.  Her legs look so tiny and dry in this pictures.  Heck, she was getting ready for school:)  That day when I picked her up from school her teacher told me all about how Em was untying and tying her shoes.  To the point where she had to tell Em to stop:)  Just like she had to with performing the splits!  Love it!

We were said to see my dad leave, but it was so nice to see him!  Now I have a current picture of him with the kiddos:)  Love ya daddy!
