Ears, round two!

Last month we went to dinner, then thought....lets go for round TWO of ear piercing on Lilly.  The last time was a few years ago and they got infected then one fell out and so on.  She did pretty good and was so excited to have it done.  She showed everyone and was so happy.

Well, she was happy with them until...........CHOC happened.  We had to take them out.  Of course, more on that later.

Hanna's in Holbox...with Baby!!!

Before Clint heads back to Afghanistan next month for a year, the Hanna Family went on a vacation!  I have no idea where Holbox is...Mexico?...but they had such a great time and I am so happy that they got home safe!

Oh I am also happy that they did not get electrocuted in the shower!  Those are wires on the top!

Here is a quick email that Patty sent Em, our mom and I.  I LOVE having sisters that I am close to (yep, drive me crazy sometimes)!

Hey guys,

We enjoyed our first day here on Holbox (hol-bash).
Yesterday morning at about one in the morning Cody threw up three times. He seemed to be fine later that morning when we went to the airport. Turns out we were wrong. After the first flight he had a temp of 102 we stripped him down and gave him lots of water then we soaked him in water while on the second flight. The fever broke when we got in our rental car. Thank goodness because we drove thru the jungle (it was a short cut) to get to the ferry. We got to the ferry just as the VERY last ferry was leaving. So we attempted to get a fast boat to take us to the Isla (Island) but it turns out they were all to drunk to safely take us across the water. So we stayed at a little hotel by the ferry. Gotta love third world country's! I'll send you be pics of the highlights in our room.

We all went to sleep. And woke up at 0515 this morning. We took the 0600 ferry to Holbox. We have spent most of our day sleeping and walking around. I'll send a few more pics tonight.

Please forward the rest of the Peterson Clan.

Love, peace, and hair grease,

Patty

Makes Me Sad

Will the day ever come that I do not feel so sad for Derek when I think about his dad?  The second year now we headed over to see his grave during Memorial Weekend.  This year we brought some items to decorate the stone.  It must be so strange for Derek.  It makes me sad.

Graduations, CHACHACHA!

School is all done!  So excited about that!   I am also so excited at parties being done!  I am very excited that accomplishments were met, but DANG the end of the school year is a very busy one.  Some years there are just a few or no graduations or parties.  This year was not one of those years.  Along with activities that come with the end of a school year (I am choosing not to blog about them because there are just WAY too many and will take me forever!) we had family days and birthday's and so on.

Michelle graduated from nursing school!!  Thank goodness she is done.  She gave an awesome speech and we cheered as loud as the Lee Family could...which was loud.  I am so happy she is done because now we will SEE HER!  Absent - how I describe the last year.  Now, like Linda says, "get a job!"

Max promoted to 9th grade!  This kid cracks me up!  Not only because of his pink shirt which stood out during the ceremony, but he is CRAZY SMART and just as sweet.  Love that he is our nephew.  I also loved that the ceremony was super short...good because Corona is flippin hot!

Saige!  Welcome to real life!  Well, when she gets back from her road trip with Grandma and her mom from New Orleans to Key West.  Ah to be young!  Saigey is off to FJC and aspires to be a costume designer.  I think she can do it.  Such a gorgeous girl.  My family missed the ceremony because she only got 10 tickets.  With my 5...well, you do the math.  So we met up at Hero's afterwards for a celebratory dinner....we were there forever!  The kids had fun playing and eating peanuts.  The owner even gave the kids money, we was so impressed with them.  Of course we always run into people we know everywhere....saw an old co-worker, Carrie.  It was so nice to catch up!  I should have taken a picture, but we were having so much fun with Saige.  Congrats to everyone!!!!
