While We Play

Everyone knows that Derek works and I stay home with the kids. Some weeks Derek works more than others and some days longer hours than usual, but when we are doing this

And Derek is doing this

I do feel very bad.
Then I think about how the kids and I had Em's ballet rehearsal on Saturday morning (the 30th of October) then trick or treating on Main Street, a soccer game, and shopping. Does Derek really want to do all of this? Maybe the game, but I know that since we already done this in the month of October (not all of the stuff we did, btw)

Pumpkin Carving Party at the Giangrande's

Connor's 5th birthday Party

***yes, Derek and his brothers all wore green shirts and no, it was not planned!

Dwayne and Elisa's Birthday

Pumpkin Patch with the Mom's Club

Truck-or-Treat

Halloween Party at the Park followed by trick or treating with some seniors at the community center

And of course!! Halloween!!! Em and Drew were pirates and Lilly was suppose to be a monkey, but when I actually put her in it she looked more like a lion (and a boy to go with it). Oh well.
My side of the family came over for our monthly family day and to see the new place. I made chili for the first time (I used my Uncle Kev's recipe) which I have to say came out very yummy! We only had 6 rings at the door bell (that kind of stunk) and went to about 8 or so houses with the kids until they decided that their pumpkins were too heavy. It was a very nice time to have everyone there and got a huge surprise when Michelle came over dressed in a parrot costume (to go along with the pirates)! It was hilarious and the kids loved it. She is such a good auntie!

So, while Derek works so we are able to do all of this stuff, I think that he is happy most of the time not to go all over SoCal. Once again, thank you honey!

Tackle It Tuesday

The tackle this week is actually months of hard work, Emma screaming, Emma crying, very large items that had to always be wiped up, clothing items thrown away and diapers purchased that really did not need to be.

THAT RIGHT.....EMMA WENT POOP IN THE POTTY!!!

After countless bribes that never worked she wanted a princess bike bad enough so after she went #2 we ran over to the store to buy a bike! We came home and off she went! Yeah Emma

Wonderful Darci Made Me Some Dresses!

For Em's birthday present my friend Darci made her this dress (I may have already posted about that)

For Lillian's birthday party I asked her to make a dress to match the black/yellow/white color theme.

And when we went to pick up the dress...we got to play!!! The kids played like kids and Dar and I played liked adults and talked:)

I am just in love with how creative Darci is. From quilting and sewing to blogging and photography. From 6th grade I knew that she would turn out good with a strong head on her shoulders....and she has! Just look at the dresses and the photos she took!! So go and take a look at her blogs and Esty shop.

Monday Meeting

Years ago my Nanny (my grandma) gave me this corner cabinet. It was made for my great-grandmother Ruth in 1970 and handed down to my Poppie (my grandpa) and handed to me. I have been waiting for a perfect corner and now I have one!!! It needs some work, but that will have to be done later because I could not wait to put some keepsakes in it.

So out of order

FYI, my posts are out of order and will be for a few days. Some do not care, but some others do:)

What happens...

What happens when you have a son who loves the, How To Train Your Dragon movie and you send an email that invites a bunch of kids/parents on a Friday night to watch the movie.....

A heck of a lot of fun!!!

There were 17 kids here and about 14 adults. It was crazy fun! The kids ran around loudly with dress up clothes on, ate popcorn (the next day I thought...did they even make it to their mouths?), watched 5 minutes of the movie, and ate sooo much candy!

The adults....talked and talked like adults to adults, let the kids run around and when they passed by screaming I swear we just raised our voices until they passed, drank a bunch of wine, ate some popcorn, did not watch the movie, and left the party thinking, "we should do this more often!"

Moving......easiest move yet.

Yes, we moved and man did it go well! How is that possible, you may ask...very good when you just move down the street:) Thank you very much Kelly, JB, B, Michelle, and Damon! More pics to come when we have the place finished (or close to it).

A Change

YES, yes, yes.....I went RED!! I never do my hair and when I do I hate it, so I am embracing dark:)

Down with Halloween, hello Harvest!!

I am super quick to take stuff down, but it is always fun to put things up!!!
